Our luxury accommodation is set in peaceful family farmland, overlooking picturesque Lake Mapourika, only 5 minutes from the Franz Josef village centre.

Our new unique accommodation opened on the 12 December 2005. Franz Josef Glacier Country Retreat building’s design was inspired by a historical West Coast homestead and offers 12 rooms of luxury accommodation facilities and home cooked breakfast.

By staying with us you get to experience the beauty 'Glacier Country' offers, as well as to share the local history and knowledge of this special place, where our pioneer family has resided for over 100 years.
